A Bright, Refined Home Rooted in Memory
Designed for a US-return family of four, this home blends nostalgia with modern comfort. Their cherished furniture pieces were thoughtfully refurbished and integrated, forming the emotional anchor of a design that embraces brightness, refinement, and Neo-Classical elegance.
A predominantly white palette sets a serene backdrop, enriched with subtle trims, delicate moldings, and slender reinterpretations of traditional wooden elements. This shift from heavier finishes to lighter profiles brings an airy sophistication throughout the home.
The entrance establishes a graceful pause with a bespoke metal arch, a hand-painted panel concealing services, and a perforated metal–wood shoe unit balanced by a statement mirror. In the living area, minimal wall trims and a curated TV unit showcase the family’s travel keepsakes, while wide French windows draw in abundant sunlight.
The pooja room becomes a sculptural highlight with a laser-etched tri-fold glass door, an engraved idol of Lord Venkateswara, and a luminous Shree Chakra crafted in acrylic. The dining area continues the refined trim language, complemented by a low partition of textured glass blocks that gently filters natural light. A contemporary kitchen with glass-acrylic shutters and quartz surfaces completes this zone.
The master bedroom features refurbished heirloom furniture, fluted panelling, and copper-foiled glass wardrobe inserts for a warm yet elegant character. In the kids’ room, trims and fluted wainscoting create playful rhythm and continuity.
Across the home, marble flooring, matte PU-finished doors, bespoke artwork, and thoughtful lighting — including magnetic track systems and focused spotlights — layer the space with depth and harmony.
This residence stands as a refined blend of memory, proportion, and light — a timeless home that honors the past while embracing contemporary living.
